getting back to basics

Gonna try to keep this one short and simple. I've obv gone through a rough patch of variance these last few days and lost a bit of money, but my last 2 sessions have been profitable ones and I believe I am on the right track back to winning.

I noticed that I was trying too much to play a style that I was not accustomed to or even fit with how I play personally. I was watching alot of cardrunners videos and trying to completely reshape how I have taught myself how to win over the last 5 years. While that TAG style may work for the pros and made them thousands, it just doesn't work for me.

When I try to play aggressive I dont know how to respond to players playing aggressive back at me which seems to happen a very lot at 50nl. So I'm often left with very tough decisions and I dont know where I stand because these players change their style so much. What works for me is playing passive and playing like a calling station. keeping other players honest, keeping the pot small, and not taking myself out of hands when i get reraised right out of pots.

idk, It just seems to work for me. so why try to change it. Gotta do what works for me, even if it means playing an unconvential style of poker.

ALOHA
